ENGINEERS      ARCHITECTS      PLANNERS      MANAGERS

Richard Leyendecker, AIA, NCARB

Associate Partner | Director of Architecture

The term “Director” has many different meanings, applications and responsibilities. In my case, it is a commitment to my chosen field of architecture, specifically to healthcare, and to the people that work with me to help achieve our goals. My career path began as a project technician. And from that first experience out of school, I was fortunate to work with people who influenced and helped to shape my professional development. As I moved on to project architect, project manager and director, that has still been the case. I have developed and maintained valuable and rooted relationships which includes family, friends, coworkers and clients, both in and out of architecture.

Learning from the past is vital to moving forward. Fundamental to professional growth is embracing an informed understanding and appreciation of the dynamic and changing healthcare environment and remaining open-minded and well versed on the latest trends, developments and market conditions. I look forward to the challenges in the future, mindful of my lessons learned, as I continue to grow and help mentor the next generation of design professionals.
