ENGINEERS      ARCHITECTS      PLANNERS      MANAGERS

Reggie Pugh
Associate Principal | Senior Project Manager, Architecture

My role as a project manager allows me to see a project from inception through occupancy. I am charged with building client relationships along with the development, implementation, and execution of project work plans that meet or exceed financial targets for the client and the firm. Being able to watch the entire process of design unfold is immensely rewarding. The ability to take a complex set of variables, that don’t always align in the beginning, from concept to reality is a unique and enjoyable experience.  It is especially gratifying knowing that you have effectively leveraged the knowledge of clinicians, end users, researchers, engineers and designers to improve the built environment. There is nothing more satisfying than when an end user experiences a completed project for the first time and tells you that your team has exceeded their expectations.

Over the years, I have learned that no man is an island and you can’t take the design process for granted. Design is collaborative. I enjoy working with my project team to find solutions to problems on all levels. Together, we establish a functional schedule and budget which helps to facilitate discussions that advance strategic planning, establish guiding principles, and build consensus among all stakeholders. All design concepts are rooted by people, and I take pride in my ability to work well with others to develop practical, innovative, and creative architectural responses that speak directly to a specific set of circumstances or complex ideas.
